This is a outline for training new users in BlackHyve. This does not cover all the features in Blackyve, but simply focuses on those that are most important for navigating and executing work in BlackHyve.

These are the foundational features for understanding how to use BlackHyve.

Sort by Company, Responsible or Risk Exposure

Activity Feed

Activity feed is all activity across all the projects you are assigned to.
Filter down to Feed type, Someones Activity or Specific Project.
Click hyperlinks to see specific activity on a project.

Recipes

Create blocks of work that are common across your jobs.
Use these Recipes to quickly create a schedule and maintain consistency.
Duplicate these recipes to quickly create new block of work that might have a slightly different sequence.

Companies

Manage those who have read only or full access to your projects and tasks.
Resend invites
Disable users that are no longer relevant to your work

Project Specific Features

The following is a outline of features that are accessible within a single project.

Planning

This is the GANTT view of your schedule. The left side has numerous options around turning on Columns

Filters - Use filters to filter down. Stack Filters to target specific companies, stuckpoints, Areas etc
Group By
Columns - Toggle Columns On or Off
Today Button - Lost on the GANTT? Click the Today button to get back to Today
Expand All - Open or Expand all your parent and child tasks across your schedule
Collapse All - Collapse All your tasks and open them like a book to drill into what you specifically want to see
Scale - Zoom in or out on the scale by Days, Weeks, Months Quarters or Years
Display - Toggle On or Off the status, Name, Location, Phase, Zone or Area
Tools - Toggle On Off to see tasks specifically on the GANTT that have Missing Dependencies, Jobwalks Open, Open Stuck Points or Procurements at Risk
Color - Highlight by color your - Task, Company, Critical Path, Pace, Float, Location, Zone, Area, Smart Tag, Tag
Baseline - Create a Baseline or Multiple Baselines. Turn these baselines On or Off
Custom View - Create a Custom View to quickly and efficiently get the data and view you need. Turn on the Filters and Columns you want and save them as a Custom View and eliminate the back and forth of turning these on and off - Examples - Print View, Location View, Stuckpoint or Jobwalk by location or Responsible.

Great for Supers and PMs who need to focus on the current and immediate work at hand

Manage existing users on your project
Add users to your project
Grant them full access or View only access

Jobwalks

Eliminates the tedious task of finding and updating tasks on the GANTT
Built for doing jobwalks on the jobsite on a ipad or laptop
List view of all open jobwalks.
Quickly scroll through the open jobwalks and update your schedules in minutes.

Stuck Points

Quickly see all open Stuck Points in one view.
Sort by a specific individual or Risk Exposure
Manage by resolving or resending notifications from this view
